4 Tips to Elevate Your Christmas Next Year!

4 Tips to Elevate Your Christmas Next Year!

Were you mesmerized by all of the beautiful Christmas decorations that you saw on social media this year? I love to see what everyone is going to come up with. The Christmas trees are my favorite things to see with all the beautiful unique ornaments, ribbons, picks, angels, stars, just all of it. For the past 2 years I have had two trees, one in the entry and one in my living room and I loved every minute of it. Walking through the door and seeing “The Joy” tree instantly lifts my spirits. A few years ago I decided I wanted an all blue tree for the living room. Not wanting to give up the traditional colors I decided to buy a tree for the entry way and then continue to use all the traditional Christmas ornaments on that tree. In order to buy all different shades of blue with a little silver and gold I waited until after Christmas and hit up the sales.

That brings me to our first Tip…

Buy your Christmas Decor Now! Yes Christmas is over, which means the stores really need to get rid of their inventory. On the 26th they usually start with 30-50% off depending on the store. This week is where we start to see the 70%+ deals. Hopefully, shoppers in your state were raised right and didn’t buy up everything at the 30% off. I am a big supporter of online shopping however, I have found the best deals after Christmas in store. Those beautiful large bulbs with all the different textures can be yours for the low if you capitalize on the sales now. This year I am looking for a new tree for our living room. We have had her for 9 years and it is just time. Hobby Lobby hands down is my favorite, but I couldn’t find any deals online, but I have linked a few others for you below.

Target clearance has some great deals in store. This one linked is 50 for only $7.50 and the colors are exactly what I got for my blue tree. Another example is 25 ornaments for only $2.50 here. They are beautiful and not only do they elevate your decor, you also get a lot for your money. You have to go in store though.

Joann stores also has great deals like this 36 ornaments for only $2.99. Already so good! The good news is this can be shipped to you or you can do curbside pick up. This is the best deal to me. Winning!

Michaels always has good deals like these 50 Metallic shatterproof ornaments with beautiful textures for $11.99. It was sold out at my store, so no options for pick up but they may be in stock where you live.

Walmart has 26 ornaments for only $2.49. These are only available in store. They seem to be going fast. Make sure you get some.

Buy those matching Pjs Now I know many families have been doing matching PJs for years, but with social media we are now seeing it a whole lot more. I jumped on the train last year and me and my family took professional pictures at JCPenney in pajamas last year. I used those same pics for all my social media this year as well. I got our pjs on Macy’s about a month before Christmas for a steal. It’s a good idea to price watch. This year I actually got PJ bottoms for both Thanksgiving and Christmas from Old Navy for $5 each. I noticed this year that stores were not just having Black Friday deals, but different deals throughout the month of December. I caught a $5 pj day which is the best they offered all year and I cleaned up with both the black and white and the red and black buffalo plaid for the entire family. You may not be able to find that price, but there are some deals.

Macy’s has some new markdowns. You get 20% off using the code joy. These PJS are similar to the ones pictured above, but read HO, HO, HO on the front. super cute. For the family that likes one pieces, these tree print PJs are for you! There are so many family PJS with price drops I have linked you to the landing page and you can scroll through and see if anything suits you and your family.

Amazon has several different styles for the family. This is an option starting with a set at $14.99. Another option starting at $7.99. This romper, one piece was cute as well starting at $9.99.

Patpat has some cute sets as well. This set is a cute option starting at $9.99. This Elf set is super cute and seems to be going fast, price ranges from $7.99-$15 each.

Walmart of course has a range of options. This is a cute red, white, and grey set starting at $9.99 and they still have a lot of sizes available. This is a cute reindeer set with the buffalo plaid starting at $16.

Sports Fan Island has a lot of cute styles for the sports family. Also don’t be discouraged if you aren’t able to find all of the sizes. I’ve noticed that they typically resell the previous years designs, so I’d recommend getting what you can now and then keeping an eye the closer it gets to Christmas. For the Carolina Panthers fans this PJ set is for you. A set for the annoying Cowboy’s fans, sorry not sorry. They even have NCAA, NHL, MLB, and NBA. A key call out is most of the men sizes seem to be sold out. You want to keep that in mind as you are shopping.

Personalized Decor If you are looking to get personalized stockings, ornaments, or even PJs now is the time to buy them. I think these will also continue to go down into January. If an item is selling out then you want to strike while you can. Otherwise I don’t mind price watching. I find good personalized PJs on Etsy. Keep in mind that personalized items are always more expensive than regular items. It can really add up if you have a large family. Personalized Creations is my favorite for personalized decor, but they are not having sales. I would check on them in January. However I have a few options for you.

This striped set is super cute and you can mix red and white and green and white. Price ranges from $13 each-$30 each with personalization included. A blue, red, and white customizable PJ set ranging from $9-$34 depending on the sizes.

Giftsforyounow.com always has cute stockings. This cable knit stocking is $10.99 with embroidery included saving 63%. A cute personalized family ornament for $7.99. Plush green and white embroidered stockings for $8.99.

Target had a cute option with just the one letter monogram stocking for $7.50. However, they may be hard to find. I only saw T, L, N available in my area. I’d recommend checking online first, however it’s not always accurate. I’ve found something’s in store even though it says out of stock online.

Bed Bath and Beyond also had the one letter monogram stocking which is super cute with the faux fur. They seem to have more options for letters, it can be shipped, and it’s only $6.50 or $5.19 if you are a beyond member.

Buy External Holiday Decor Now Are you trying to light up the block next year? I know that some people dream of the day they are able to put Christmas lights on their house. If you have ever bought external lights they can be pricey. However, now and over the next couple of weeks is a good time to buy them. I would do some price watching because looking at the current prices I think they will go lower. I have left you some suggestions below though.

Amazon has 105 ft of Led lights for $26.99. However, this is only a few dollars off regular price. I’d wait another week. A Santa inflatable for 25% off. I expect things to go down on Amazon.

Micheal’s has the wooden signs aka door greeters for $11.99 in store. This is going to vary depending on the area you live in. Another version here for the same price. You may have the curbside pick up available in your area.

Wayfair has 35 of the pretty red and white big outdoor lights for $8.49. Wayfair is an online store so they would be shipped to you.

Home depot has 100 light LED warm lights that seem to be a solid price year round as these are only $11.97. You are able to have these shipped to you or you can pick them up in store.

All of these tips are to help you elevate Christmas for you and your family. For me, I just love physically being able to see my hard work. It’s a representation of love to my family throughout the Holiday season. I hope this helps you do the same. Wishing you and your family a blessed and safe New Year.
