Apparel

Clothes are always a safe item to buy. You can also personalize the gift based on the personality of the gift receiver.

My Pride Apparel-I was originally sold on this brand because of the messages on their clothing. As their name states it’s all about exuding pride to black people. I bought 2 hoodies over a year ago and they both remain in excellent condition. One is a vibrant red which I wear the hell out of and it has survived several washes. So now I am not only sold on the messaging, but also the quality of the clothing. I love the career series and have bought gifts for my family from that line. They often have sales and you can pick up multiple items at reasonable prices. Use code BF for 65% off! Go get you some!

God is Dope-Listen, this brand is excellent with marketing and sales. Most of the shirts are $5.99 and up. I probably have 8-10 shirts smh. The prices are too good to pass up and clearly because God loves me, I love to celebrate him in my clothing. Quality is solid and even though many of the shirts say the same thing like God is dope, Just god etc. the designs are so different that I have no problem continuing to buy them. They do a good job of offering items based on the climate of the world. They always have really good deals, and have been having random sales throughout the week. You can get shirts for the whole family.

Colourfro-I’m not sure how I found this brand, but I have been supporting them since 2020. They have sales all the time as and currently have T-shirts for as low as $10. What I love about this brand is they are very Pro black and I am here for it. Last year I bought me and my hubs matching shirts to wear on his birthday, but because they had such fly designs I bought 3 more shirts for myself. They did not disappoint and I absolutely love all the designs. At the time they were $12 shirts, but this week there are some even lower at $10 and you can get an additional 10% off by subscribing to their mailing list. You can see a quick video of me wearing the shirts here.

Soukandsepia-Listen I love absolutely EVERYTHING on this website. It’s more than apparel, they have accessories like earrings, hats, sunglasses. They have boots and jackets. If I actually went places and worked on site. I recently got the most beautiful multicolored blazer and a beautiful teal dress when they had a clearance. I cannot wait to wear them. The quality, the originality, the bold colors! I am really here for it all. While they of course have higher priced items, they have plenty of items under $50. Trust me the gift receiver will not be disappointed. I low key didn’t want to share this because I really really love the clothes and wanted to keep them to myself. However, we have to support beautiful black brands. They are currently offering a sale where the more you spend, the more money off you receive. Use codes BLK35 for $35 off $125, BLK55 for $55 off $175, and BLK75 for $75 off $225.

Kick and Fros-This is a T-shirt/sweatshirt line by Melissa Chanel who is a popular digital content creator, sneaker collector, influencer, and Cantu brand ambassador. I’m not sure how I found her but I am happy I did. I too love sneakers and the way she styles them is just inspiring. This line is a reflection of her love for natural hair and sneakers and because that is right up my alley I must support. She also sells these sneaker money pouches that are too cute and can be put inside of a larger purse or carried alone. I already bought 3 shirts and a pouch, the sweaters I wanted were sold out in my size sadly. Hurry they are selling out fast! Use code KFBOGO50 for buy one get one half off.

KC Apparel co.-I found this site on Instagram. She would always post pics of bomb natural hair. She then started to post cute natural hair sayings on T-shirts. I can't remember what her original Instagram handle was, but she shifted it to KC Apparel Co and never looked back. She carries T-shirts, sweaters, backpacks, puff caps, patches, outerwear, and mugs. She even has a Holiday collection. She gives us graphic tees with a black spin on it, because she uses popular phrases from our culture. Definitely something for everyone. Use code BLACK21 for buy one get one free.

Rich Royal-This is a new black owned brand I found this year. This is one me and the kids love. The colors of the shirts are bold as displayed. The name alone boasts royalty and my kids could not get enough. The shirts start at $5.99 and up which is truly a steal. I was able to get shirts for my entire family of 6 for such a reasonable price. Use code VIPONLY for free shipping.

Jewelry

Cocoa Ari-Listen, I just found this gem and I fell in love with everything. I am a sucker for accessories, so I could really go ham. I have to remind myself I am a giver and get myself under control. The earrings, necklaces, anklets, bracelets are just everything. I love that she also lists how to care for the jewelry which is key when it’s gold plated. You want to ensure that it lasts as long as possible. You will find a deal of the week and sis when I tell you those earrings are cute, they are cute!! Trust me I will be getting some pieces!

Second and C-This is a brand new black owned business. The Chic Natural who is a very popular natural hair You tuber has just launched her jewelry line. They are so pretty. So far all of her pieces are very interchangeable which she mentioned she did by design. She is a fan of layering necklaces and bracelets as am I. When you go to her website you can see the options she has for layering. The earrings are also unique. You can find bigger or smaller dainty pieces to fit whatever your style is. They are currently offering 30% off and free standard shipping, no code needed discount is automatically applied at checkout.

Aibia Studios-As I mentioned I am an accessories lover and I’m always looking for reasonably priced unique pieces. I found Nia's shop Aibia Studios on Etsy as I was looking for some statement pieces. She has beautiful hand made jewelry, ranging from necklaces, rings, and nose cuffs. Her pieces are very afrocentric and will elevate and outfit. Nia also sales crystals. She currently has most jewelry 30% off.

Beauty

B. Simone Beauty-B. Simone is a comedian, influencer, rapper, You Tuber, and business owner of B. Simone Beauty. Her make up line is vegan and cruelty free makeup. She has glosses, mattes, and lip liners. She also has some holiday collections that look like great stocking stuffers. She is currently offering 50% off most items on her site. B.Simone also recently launched a collaboration line with Footaction highlighting “Babygirl” which is a popular she is known for saying. You can shop that line here. Sis is working and I love to see it!

Jo Michelle Pro Makeup-I found Jo Michelle through her natural hair posts. She however switched her focus to makeup and does loc updates every now and then. Since she is so sweet and relatable I kept following her on Instagram. It’s odd considering I don’t wear make up. However, It has been cool to see her growth. She is a make up artist by trade and now has a physical studio that she completes make up in and her own line of products. She has everything that you need to complete your entire face. We are talking eyes, lips, and face. She has a range of colors for foundations, eye shadows, lipstick, glosses, and lashes. Her website is very professional and even does color matching. If makeup is your thing she has everything that you need. She is having sales on select items.

Carese Beauty-Neshia Carese is an entrepreneur from my hometown of Wichita, KS. She also has a full time day job and pursues this on the side. You should support her because she is a great representation of a mom grinding. Last year she started her beauty line which so far is all lip care. She has lip balms, glosses, and lip treatment. I have 3 of them myself and they keep my lips popping. I mean these are great prices and will make great stocking stuffers.

Fenty Beauty-Not that Rihanna needs my help promoting her business, but I would be remised not to mention the brand that showed the other brands what real inclusivity looks like. When Rihanna launched her line for all shades of skin she had the big beauty brands scrambling to expand their line. She created a new standard for the beauty industry. We STAN a game changer, a ceiling buster, an inclusivity master! Not to mention folks rant and rave about the quality of her products all over the internet. Even I thought about getting some lipstick. Her line allows you to complete your full face with foundation, highlights, concealer, lipstick, glosses, liner, eye shadow, and the list goes on and on. She is offering 25% off sitewide with no code needed.

Black Health and Wellness

Root Work-Esi Catherine LaShay is an entrepreneur, a hustler, a real boss babe. She is also from my hometown of Wichita, KS and is a real jack of all trades. She is a mother, beautician, make up artist, creative, home chef, gerontologist, and business owner. At her shop you will find botanicals (waters, oils and perfumes), burnables (sage, palo santo, resin etc.), candles (which include prayers), stones, apparel and cute accessories. Take some time and look at the quality of these products. Most of them are handmade and are just beautiful. She does a monthly community fast where she provides juices with different benefits for a week. There are options for people put of town that want to participate as well. The prices are reasonable and make great gifts for yourself or your family members.

Just a Few Things-This is a luxury body care line that uses ingredients from all over the world. Take your bathing up a notch with handmade soaps, shower gel, and bath bombs. She has a little girl self care package, encouraging teaching them self care early that includes bubble bath, whipped soap, and body wash. It is beyond cute. She also carries body creams and body scrubs. For men she has beard balm, soap and body wash. The products range from $5-$20. Active Wear

Rebelious Fit-Maya Elious is a Brand Strategist/Entrepreneur that has built a business coaching mostly Black Women on how to master their message by using their gifts to scale their business into a six figure income. This year she has dipped into the e-commerce world by creating an inclusive active wear brand called Rebelious Fit. I love the name because it’s obviously a play on the word rebellious that challenges the norm. It also plays homage to her last name Elious. I think its the perfect name as she had been a real rebel helping black women create generational wealth for their families. The Black Friday sale gives you 50% off a sports bra when you buy any leggings using code: REBELBF21.

Monie Christo Collection- When I saw this brand it just looked like luxury. She sales active wear and beautiful swimsuits. I know some of us like myself need the hand of God and cute workout wear to get motivated. She definitely does not disappoint. My favorite happens to be the biker shorts. They are high waisted and the perfect length, not too short or long. She has some beautiful neutral colors. You find sports bras, shorts, leggings, jackets, and long sleeve tops. She also has yoga mats, face masks and water bottles. Today only they are offering 40% off without a code, discount is reflected when you add items to the cart.

Culture Fit Clothing-This beautiful active wear is made from the Ankara and Kente fabric. If you are bold and love African cloth this is the clothing line for you. I love that they offer a lot of options. If you don’t feel comfortable in just a sports bra, they have longer tank tops that won’t have you hot as you work out. They have regular leggings (which are just over $50) and the cropped leggings. You can mix and match as you would like. When you see these pieces they scream black queen. I am here for it all.

Glamourina-This is another bold and beautiful athletic wear line. They are currently selling the Tribe collection and it definitely lives up to that name. It includes sports bras (that hold your phone), leggings, jackets, masks, and socks. There are a few pieces over $50, but there are enough under $50. She offers these midnight black leggings with the Africa continent on the back of the leggings and on the side, but when you look closely the Africa symbol is a ladies hair. It’s dope. Love the creativity and just the overall glamour this line boasts. They have 50% off sitwide using the code: BF50.

Kemetic Knowledge-The models on this site are fine fine. They have you wanting to do a few crunches, hop on the treadmill, eat right or starve …(just kidding). This line doesn’t have the bold patterns, but instead offers beautiful solids in black, red, teal, yellow, white, and blue. It’s chic and looks like the material is luxury. This line offers sports bras, leggings, and cropped shorts or longer shorts. They also offer clothing which includes track pants, track jackets, windbreakers, socks, and swimsuits. You can get a 25% off code on your first order by texting GVO to 484848.

Artwork

Pardon My Fro-I am a repeat shopper of this brand. When we first built our house 5 years ago I was looking for reasonably priced artwork for my office and Kynni’s bedroom. I ended up getting a total of 4-12X18 prints. 2 for Kynni and 2 for myself and they were only $5 each. I later bought prints for Kynni’s bathroom and a shower curtain from this same brand. Representation matters! When I am in my work meetings they clearly see the ladies with their afros in the background. It just gives me great pride to see them. They don’t currently have the $5 prints but they have posters, prints, and canvases for you to purchase. They have added so many GOOD products now. You can look through bed and bath, bonnets, bags and accessories, stationary , and kitchen and dining all with the beautiful artwork printed on them. These gifts will be cherished for a life time. There are select products 25% off for Black Friday. Unfortunately they do not have the $5 prints this season.

Art by Monday-This is another one I wanted to keep close to my chest. This artwork is breathtaking! Sometimes you just don’t want to share the gems you find. Shady I know, but I’m sharing because this artist deserves it. I just bought Kynni a new piece for Christmas because she is almost 13 and she is wanting to update her room. When I tell you these are AMAZING! I mean every single piece. The colors, the detail, the pride! I can’t even describe them they are abstract yet so human at the same time. This artist is beyond talented. She has over 3k sales and boasts a 5 star rating. The prices vary based on the size of the artwork you choose. Do yourself a favor and get one! If you spend $150+ you are eligible for 30% off.

M. Koby Art-These pieces are classic! They evoke an old school feeling for me. They are deep neutrals. I feel like women of all ages, shapes, and races can connect with these pieces. Your mother would really love this artwork. The artwork truly evokes strength and pride. Once you frame these, they will feel like they came out of an art gallery. She has several pieces 20% off.
